Job Description: We are seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee accounting and financial operations for a consulting-focused business entity. This position will manage core accounting functions, financial reporting, payroll coordination, tax activities, cash management, and internal controls. The Accounting Manager will work closely with senior finance leadership, corporate and fund accounting teams, tax professionals, and external advisors. Key Responsibilities: Direct monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entry review, reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Prepare and analyze financial statements and communicate significant variances and trends to leadership. Coordinate multi-state payroll processing and help ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Work with internal tax professionals and outside advisors on annual tax filings and business tax reporting. Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Lead financial reporting activities for the assigned business entity. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for accuracy and timely completion. Manage intercompany accounting activity and monthly balance settlements. Coordinate annual 1099 reporting and ensure required forms are completed accurately and on time. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting. 5+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience, preferably in a supervisory or management capacity. Ability to independently manage accounting operations and financial reporting. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, multi-state payroll, and accounting-related tax requirements. Experience with cash management, forecasting, and liquidity planning. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with NetSuite and payroll systems is preferred. Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders.
