Duties

• Assist veterinarians in providing medical urgent care to animals-
  • Perform various laboratory tests and procedures- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures. Administer Anesthesia- Take and develop x-rays- Provide animal restraint during examinations and procedures- Clean and maintain veterinary equipment and instruments- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment- Maintain accurate medical records for all animalsSkills- Veterinary technician: Knowledge of veterinary medicine and procedures, including administering medications, performing laboratory tests, and assisting with surgeries
• Animal restraint: Ability to safely handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
• Animal physiology: Understanding of the anatomy and physiology of different animal species
• Laboratory: Proficiency in performing laboratory tests, such as blood work, urinalysis, and microbiology
• Veterinary critical care: Ability to provide emergency care to critically ill or injured animals
• Animal catheterization: Skill in placing catheters in animals for various medical purposes
• Dog training: Knowledge of dog behavior and training techniques to assist with behavioral issues or training programs

• Job Type: Full-time

• Hours: Daytime and Evening (1-9pm) shifts required
