Technical Designer - Women's Apparel

We are an established designer and manufacturer of women's apparel. Our Technical Design Team seeks a Technical Designer to help with speccing, fittings and fit comments. The product categories include woven and knit tops, pants/bottoms, shorts, skirts, and dresses. This position will be reporting to a senior technical design member on the team.

Primary ResponsibilitiesOrganize and prepare samples for the fittings prioritizing urgent deliveriesMeasure samples accurately and in timely manner before the fittingsCreate and update technical packages with measurements and construction detailsTake notes and pictures and participate with the team in the fittingsHelp with drafting and sending fitting commentsMaintain organization of fit samples for referenceSupport the needs of other departments if necessary
Skills & QualificationsDegree in Technical Design or Patternmaking (preferred)3+ years experience with Technical DesignProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Adobe IllustratorKnowledge of pattern making, garment construction, xzbcwsv sewing techniques, fabrications and trimsAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-pace environmentExcellent organizational and communication skills
Compensation$75,000-$90,000 annual salary Benefits include employer paid health insurance, 401K, paid time off This is a fully on-site position M-F 9AM-6PM
