Role Description

The Cloud & DevOps Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Islamabad. The person in this role will design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability for production and development environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and managing CI pipelines, automating deployments, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting infrastructure or application issues. The Cloud & DevOps Engineer will collaborate closely with software development teams to streamline release processes, optimize environments, and improve reliability through proactive automation and configuration management. This role also involves documenting infrastructure, following best practices, and contributing to continuous improvement of DevOps workflows and cloud architecture.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud configuration management to build and maintain reproducible environments.


• Experience with Software Development practices to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and support application lifecycle workflows.


• Hands-on expertise in Continuous Integration and related tooling to automate builds, testing, and deployments.


• Solid System Administration background with proficiency in Linux for managing servers, containers, and cloud resources.


• Knowledge of major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization/orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).


• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to ensure reliability, performance, and incident response.


• Ability to write scripts (e.g., Bash, Python) to automate routine tasks and optimize infrastructure operations.


• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.


• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
