Senior Design Engineer

Position: Senior Design Engineer – Tooling, Dies & Fixtures Location: Faridabad, Haryana Experience: Minimum 5 years in the sheet metal manufacturing industry We are looking for a practical and experienced Design Engineer who can connect design decisions with real shop floor requirements. Key responsibilities: Design progressive dies, tandem/stage dies, jigs, fixtures and inspection gauges Evaluate components and select the most suitable tooling concept—progressive or tandem Relate tool design to press tonnage, machine capacity, material utilization and production volume Optimize tooling for cycle time, productivity, quality and ease of manufacturing Support tool development, trials, troubleshooting and production improvements Coordinate closely with the Tool Room, NPD, Production and Quality teams Required capabilities: Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks and/or Siemens NX Hands-on experience in sheet-metal press tool design Sound understanding of manufacturing processes, tool feasibility and press-shop operations Ability to develop practical, cost-effective and production-ready designs Experience in designing jigs, fixtures and gauges Strong problem-solving skills and a holistic approach—from component feasibility to successful production Important for candidates: Applicants should be prepared to present a portfolio or illustrations of their previous work.
