Principal Officer – GIFT City (AMC)

Industry: Asset Management (AMC) | Wealth Management | Multi-Family Office

Location: GIFT City, Gandhinagar, Gujarat

Job Type: Full-Time (On-site)

CTC: TBD (Commensurate with experience)

Role Overview

The Principal Officer will serve as the designated statutory lead overseeing regulatory, compliance, and operational requirements for the company's IFSCA-registered Fund Management Entity at GIFT City. This dual-function role combines AMC/Fund Operations & Regulatory Compliance with Fundamental Research & Portfolio Strategy across Indian and US markets.

Key Responsibilities

1. AMC Operations & Custodian Management

Trade Execution & Allocation: Oversee cross-border trade execution (US and Indian products), rebalancing, and lot-level allocations across fund/PMS schemes. Ecosystem Coordination: Act as the primary operational contact for custodians, fund accountants, RTAs, and partner AMCs for settlements, reconciliations, and reporting.

2. IFSCA Regulatory & Statutory Compliance

Regulatory Interface: Serve as the designated Principal Officer for IFSCA, GIFT SEZ, and statutory auditors; coordinate audits, inspections, and regulatory notices. Filings & Frameworks: Manage periodic statutory filings, maintain compliance calendars, and enforce AML/CFT, KYC, and FATCA/CRS frameworks under IFSCA guidelines.

3. Investment Research & Analysis

Macro Insights: Monitor macroeconomic trends, interest rate decisions, and central bank policies across US and Indian markets. Company Coverage: Conduct fundamental analysis, quarterly earnings tracking, financial modeling, and strategic corporate action evaluations to produce actionable investment notes.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Education: Postgraduate in Finance, Law, Commerce, MBA (Finance), CA, or CFA. Experience: Minimum 3+ years in securities markets, fund management, AMC, PMS, wealth management, or regulatory functions; must meet IFSCA "Fit & Proper" criteria. Skills: Strong knowledge of IFSCA/SEBI regulations and AML norms; proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and PMS/trading systems.
