Front End Software Engineer

This environment isn’t for everyone, but for the right person it offers an exceptional opportunity for impact, growth and accelerated development.What you’ll be doing as our Front End Software Engineer:Build and maintain high-quality, scalable web applications using web development frameworks and libraries (e.g. React, Next.js, Blazor) JavaScript, TypeScriptand Azure services.Design intuitive front-end experiences and robust back-end logic with seamless client-server integration.Implement new features using frameworks, APIs, and databases.Ensure software quality with unit, integration, and automated testing.Collaborate in Agile environments (e.g. Scrum or Kanban) - participating in standups, sprint planning, and delivery.Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.Engage in code reviews to maintain standards, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.Drive improvements across the SDLC: tools, pipelines, architecture, and documentation.What we’re looking forA minimum of 3 years’ experience of React.jsKnowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks such as Next.js or BlazorProven front end development experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScriptExperience working knowledge of Azure cloud services and SQL databasesA solid grasp of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practicesHands-on experience managing and integrating 3rd party or internal API’sFamiliarity with tools like Postman, Swagger, or similar platforms for testing and validating API requests and responsesComfort with Agile methodologies using Scrum or KanbanGood understanding of UX / UI principles, and the ability to translate complex requirements from BA’s and Stakeholders into effective solutionsTechnologies it’s useful to know include: Laravel, C#, Knockout.jsBonus points forexposure to IT service management tools such as ServiceNow and experience working within a fast-paced SME environmentWhat you’ll getSalary: £50-60,000 for experienced A playersTime off: 33 days holiday, including bank holidays (and yes, it gets better)Benefits: Private Medical, enhanced Pension, Income Protection & Life AssuranceWork-life balance: flexible core hours + hybrid working with 3 days a week in the Solihull officeDog friendly office - yes really!Who are Convergence Group?At Convergence Group, we break free from corporate red tape as a privately-owned company, driving bold innovation without the constraints of private equity or external bankers.
