Job Description

Location: Noida (On-site)

Company: Aereka Airtech Pvt. Ltd.

About AEREKA

AEREKA is building a next-generation environmental technology platform focused on outdoor and semi-outdoor air purification. We're developing a multidisciplinary deep-tech product that brings together mechanical engineering, airflow and filtration, electronics, sensing, firmware, industrial design, data, AI, manufacturing, and real-world deployment, making clean air accessible wherever people live, work, and gather.

Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate Hardware Design Engineer who enjoys building electronic systems from concept to reality. You will design, develop, debug, and validate the embedded hardware platform at the core of AEREKA's outdoor air purification product — sensor systems, power electronics, motor/fan control, and connectivity — working closely with mechanical, firmware, and product teams. If you enjoy designing circuits, creating PCBs, solving hardware challenges in demanding outdoor environments, and bringing products to life, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Hardware Design & Development

  • Design analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronic circuits for outdoor deployment — including motor/fan drive electronics, power supply and battery/charging circuits.
  • Develop schematics and production-ready PCB layouts.
  • Select components based on technical requirements and outdoor-environment constraints (temperature, humidity, dust, vibration).
  • Design air-quality sensor interface circuits (particulate matter, gas, temperature/humidity sensors) and power management circuits.
  • Design connectivity hardware (Wi-Fi, cellular, LoRa, or similar) to support IoT and AI-driven monitoring.

PCB Design & Prototyping

  • Create multi-layer PCB designs using industry-standard tools.
  • Generate BOMs, manufacturing files, and assembly documentation.
  • Support prototype development, enclosure/thermal coordination with mechanical teams, and vendor coordination.

Testing & Debugging

  • Perform hardware bring-up, validation, and troubleshooting, including under outdoor/environmental stress conditions.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and other lab equipment for debugging.
  • Support environmental and reliability testing (temperature, humidity, ingress protection, vibration) relevant to outdoor hardware.

Collaboration & R&D

  • Work closely with firmware, mechanical, industrial design, and product teams to integrate hardware into the complete air purification system.
  • Contribute to new product development for AEREKA's outdoor air purification platform, from concept through field deployment.
  • Explore emerging technologies in sensing, power electronics, and low-power connectivity relevant to environmental hardware.

Qualifications

Required

  • B.Tech / M.Tech / Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Embedded Systems, or related fields.
  • 1–5 years of hands-on hardware design experience.
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
  • Experience with schematic design, PCB layout, and hardware debugging.
  • Understanding of UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, and related communication protocols.
  • Ability to independently interpret datasheets and design working circuits.

Preferred

  • Experience in any embedded hardware domain — consumer electronics, industrial, automotive, IoT, medical devices, aerospace, or similar.
  • Experience with sensor interfacing (environmental, motion, or any other sensor type) and/or IoT connectivity modules.
  • Exposure to motor/fan drive electronics or power management for battery or mains-powered systems.
  • Experience with outdoor, ruggedized, or IP-rated product design is a bonus but not required.
  • Understanding of EMI/EMC design practices.
  • Hands-on soldering and PCB rework experience.

What We Look For

  • Engineers who can convert requirements into working hardware.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ownership mindset with attention to detail.
  • Passion for hands-on engineering and product development, including hardware built to survive real-world outdoor conditions.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a drive to learn.

Why Join AEREKA?

  • Work on a category-defining ClimateTech product with real-world environmental impact.
  • Design hardware for an outdoor deep-tech product spanning sensing, power electronics, and connectivity.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team building from the ground up.
  • Gain exposure to the complete product development lifecycle, from prototype to field deployment.
  • Accelerate your growth in a fast-paced, founder-led R&D environment.
