Overview Reporting directly to the Clinical Practice Leader (CPL) at the Touro College of Dental Medicine's clinic in Hawthorne, New York with a dotted line to the Director of Clinical Education, and the Executive Assistant Dean of Clinical Affairs, clinical faculty are responsible for direct patient care and mentoring/teaching students. Responsibilities Initiate and guide student doctor/patient interaction and assist in transition to clinical practice. In the case of the community practices, aid in the continual review of student rosters. In the case of clinical practices, arrive prior to clinical start, provide guidance and direction in care of patients by monitoring student performance, treatment planning, and progress. Model and advise students on professionalism and patient management
