Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced BSA Operations Technical Analyst to support the transformation and digitization of balance-sheet reconciliation and manual journal processes through the BlackLine SaaS platform.

The role involves BlackLine system administration, configuration, user-access management, workflow support, master-data management, reporting and operational troubleshooting , along with collaboration across Finance, Controls, GBS and Technology teams.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of BlackLine, SAP FI-CO and finance processes , with the ability to translate business requirements into effective system and operational solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain and configure the BlackLine platform based on business and operational requirements.
• Manage system settings, user profiles, permissions and access controls.
• Maintain BlackLine master data, including Chart of Accounts and mapping tables .
• Configure and support reconciliation workflows , including in-transit runs.
• Perform audits and validation checks to ensure data accuracy, consistency and integrity.
• Support balance-sheet reconciliation and manual journal processes .
• Monitor system/process compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and security standards.
• Develop and maintain management reports and KPIs covering reconciliation status, outstanding actions and process efficiency.
• Provide technical support and training to BlackLine users.
• Analyse operational issues, identify root causes and coordinate resolution with relevant teams.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across GBS, Finance, Controls and Technology .
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and operational efficiency.
• Manage multiple priorities and support changing business requirements.

Mandatory Skills

• 6–8 years of relevant experience in Finance Technology, Business Systems, Operations Technology or a related area.
• Hands-on experience with BlackLine administration, maintenance and configuration .
• Knowledge of SAP FI-CO and SAP finance environments.
• Working knowledge of SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA .
• Understanding of user-access management, permissions and security controls.
• Experience with master-data management and validation.
• Knowledge of BlackLine workflow configuration .
• Understanding of reconciliation and manual-journal processes.
• Good understanding of finance processes, particularly:
• Record to Report (R2R)
• Order to Cash (O2C)
• Procure to Pay (P2P)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite .
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, IT, Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred / Good to Have

• BlackLine implementation or transformation experience.
• Experience working with BlackLine and SAP FI-CO together.
• Experience in Finance Controls, Governance or Shared Services.
• GBS / Shared Service Centre / Big Four experience.
• Experience working with global stakeholders across geographies and time zones.
• Power or Oil & Gas industry experience.
• Experience in process improvement, automation or digital transformation.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should combine business process understanding with technical/system expertise and be comfortable working between Finance, Operations and Technology teams.
