Job Description

Job Description The Senior Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for new business development and strategic account growth across the North American renewable energy market. The SAM will identify and develop new opportunities while building long-term relationships with solar, wind, and battery energy storage (BESS) owners, operators, developers, and other key industry stakeholders. This role owns the full commercial relationship, from initial prospecting and discovery through solution development, contract negotiation, renewal, and account expansion. The SAM will develop a strong understanding of each customer's operating environment and communicate the value of the company's platform in reducing operational risk, improving situational awareness, and supporting real-time operational decision-making. The ideal candidate combines a strong new-business development mindset with the ability to develop and retain complex strategic accounts. They should be comfortable engaging with senior decision-makers as well as the asset management, operations, engineering, and technical teams that use and benefit from the platform. The SAM will work closely with meteorology, product, and other internal teams to communicate customer needs, identify emerging market trends, and provide commercial insights that help inform product development and market strategy. The role will also represent the company at industry conferences, customer meetings, and high-level presentations throughout North America. Responsibilities Develop and execute a territory and account strategy focused on solar, wind, BESS, and other renewable energy asset owners and operators across North America. Build a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities through direct prospecting, industry relationships, referrals, conferences, and strategic account development. Manage the complete sales cycle from initial outreach and discovery through presentations, proposals, commercial negotiations, contracting, and close. Develop relationships across multiple levels of customer organizations, including executives, asset managers, operations leaders, engineers, and other technical stakeholders. Serve as the primary commercial relationship owner for assigned strategic accounts, identifying opportunities for renewals, expansion, and additional platform adoption. Develop a detailed understanding of customer operational challenges and effectively position the platform's capabilities and value against those needs. Maintain accurate pipeline, account activity, forecasting, and opportunity data and provide clear visibility into expected revenue and commercial activity. Partner with meteorology and product teams to communicate customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and emerging market needs. Monitor developments across renewable energy operations, asset management, weather risk, and related technologies to identify new commercial opportunities. Represent the company at renewable energy conferences, industry events, customer meetings, and executive-level presentations. Contribute to broader go-to-market strategy, including target-account identification, market segmentation, messaging, and competitive positioning. Qualifications
