<p> Job Title: Nurse Practitioner </p><p> Location: Physician Enterprise Group </p><p> Department Name: Heart &amp; Vascular Inst of CJ </p><p> Req #: 0000260029</p><p> Status: Hourly </p><p> Shift: Day </p><p> Pay Range: $57.69 - $93.41 per hour </p><p> Pay Transparency: </p><p> The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. </p><p> The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. </p><p> Job Overview: </p><p> The nurse practitioner functions as an independent care provider in collaboration with the medical/surgical staff, </p><p> Their advance practice is characterized by comprehensive health assessments and management of patients with acute and/or chronic health problems, </p><p> Responsibilities: </p><ul><li> Obtain patient histories and perform physical examination </li><li> Write admitting orders, routine orders and daily progress notes as indicated </li><li> Assess and manage common health problems </li><li> Order and evaluate pertinent diagnostic tests including but not limited to: Radiology, laboratories and ECG s </li><li> Prescribe pharmacological agents and non pharmacological treatments for appropriate medical conditions </li><li> Educate patients and/or families regarding disease process, medical intervention and health promotion </li><li> Document patient teaching </li><li> Refers and communicates pertinent abnormalities to medical director/medical specialist </li><li> Performs clinical procedures (in addition to RN functions)</li><li> Removal of invasive drains, lines and catheters, debridement of superficial wound, and perform arterial blood gases </li><li> Serves as a resource for nursing and ancillary staff in regards to patient and disease management </li><li> Facilitate practices that are in compliance with PRO-NJ and JCAHO requirements Performs daily rounds </li><li> Discusses plan of care with MD s and multidisciplinary team </li><li> Evaluates pertinent diagnostic tests (including radiology, laboratory, ECG, echo, cardiac cath report) in accordance with NP protocol </li><li> Writes orders for pharmacologic agents/non-pharmacologic treatments </li><li> Completes daily progress notes/discharge sheet in accordance with PRO-NJ requirements </li><li> Communicates with collaborating MD in a timely manner regarding pertinent patient issues </li><li> Assesses and manages health problems occurring during hospitalization per NP protocol </li><li> Educates patients and families regarding disease process, medical interventions and health promotion </li><li> Serves as a resource for nursing and ancillary staff with regards to patient disease management </li><li> Safely performs clinical procedures in addition to basic RN functions </li><li> Daily triage rounds on unit and in Emergency Department if requested </li><li> Handles medical problems and emergencies under supervision of attendings </li><li> Documents in progress notes, writes orders and performs H&amp;P if requested, </li></ul><p> Job qualifications: </p><ul><li> Licensed Registered Nurse in the state or New Jersey </li><li> Certified Nurse Practitioner in the state of New Jersey </li><li> Masters prepared in Nursing from an accredited program </li><li> ACLS certified </li></ul>
