Student Development <p></p> Supervise and evaluate students during clinical experiences in OB/GYN settings. <p></p> Guide students in applying the nursing process and clinical judgment. <p></p> Foster critical thinking, professional accountability, and ethical nursing practice. <p></p> Conduct clinical conferences, competency validations, and student evaluations. <p></p> Provide coaching, mentoring, and individualized feedback to support student success. <p></p> Facilitate laboratory instruction and hands-on skill development when assigned. <p></p> Patient-Centered Care &amp; Clinical Excellence <p></p> Model best practices in safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing care. <p></p> Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. <p></p> Support student understanding of patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation. <p></p> Promote quality improvement, safety initiatives, and informed clinical decision-making. <p></p> QSEN Integration <p></p> Faculty are expected to incorporate QSEN competencies into instruction, including: <p></p> Patient-Centered Care <p></p> Teamwork and Collaboration <p></p> Evidence-Based Practice <p></p> Quality Improvement <p></p> Safety <p></p> Informatics <p></p> Watson's Theory of Caring <p></p> Faculty will help students integrate Watson's Caring Theory and Ten Carative Factors into nursing practice through: <p></p> Clinical teaching and role modeling <p></p> Classroom and post-clinical discussions <p></p> Assignments and competency evaluations <p></p> Evidence-based caring practices <p></p> Leadership, Collaboration &amp; Professional Practice <p></p> Participate in curriculum implementation and continuous program improvement. <p></p> Collaborate with nursing leadership and fellow faculty. <p></p> Support accreditation and regulatory standards. <p></p> Contribute to a culture of safety, professionalism, and lifelong learning. <p></p> Promote nursing research and evidence-based practice initiatives. <p></p> Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) Faculty Requirements <p></p> Content Expert (Section 1425(d))<p></p> Must possess: <p></p> A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, including coursework in nursing or relevant natural, behavioral, or social sciences. <p></p> Direct patient care experience within the previous five (5) years in the assigned nursing area, demonstrated by either: <p></p> One (1) year of continuous full-time (or equivalent) direct patient care experience as a Registered Nurse in the designated nursing area; or <p></p> One (1) academic year of RN-level clinical teaching experience in the designated nursing area or equivalent experience demonstrating clinical competency. <p></p> Instructor <p></p> BRN-approved Instructor. <p></p> Bachelor's or Master's degree prepared. <p></p> Responsible for teaching theory and/or clinical courses and coordinating designated nursing areas. <p></p> Assistant Instructor <p></p> BRN-approved Assistant Instructor. <p></p> Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related area. <p></p> Clinical Teaching Assistant <p></p> BRN-approved Clinical Teaching Assistant. <p></p> Minimum of one (1) year continuous full-time experience as a Registered Nurse in a designated nursing specialty area within the previous five (5) years. <p></p> QualificationsRequired Qualifications <p></p> Current, unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license. <p></p> BLS certification required. <p></p> ACLS and PALS certifications as required by the clinical specialty or assigned unit. <p></p> Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nursing for Instructor-level positions with a clinical focus that includes advanced education consisting of didactic and supervised clinical practice. <p></p> Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing or related field for Assistant Instructor and Clinical Teaching Assistant positions. <p></p> Minimum two (2) years of successful nursing experience, with two (2) years in the specialty area preferred. <p></p> Demonstrated clinical expertise in the assigned specialty area. <p></p> Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. <p></p> Proven critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. <p></p> Ability to articulate and teach nursing theory and clinical practice concepts effectively. <p></p> Strong customer service orientation and commitment to student success. <p></p> Computer proficiency. <p></p> Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. <p></p> Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. <p></p> Preferred Qualifications <p></p> Specialty certification in the clinical area of expertise. <p></p> Previous clinical teaching or nursing education experience. <p></p> Demonstrated ability to develop, teach, and implement evidence-based nursing standards and practices. <p></p> Compensation <p></p>$55.00 - $60.00 per hour <p></p> Equal Opportunity Employer <p></p> Success Education Colleges is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
