Accounts Payable Specialist (Bethesda)

Accounts Payable Specialist We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support full-cycle AP operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to work independently in a high-volume environment. Responsibilities Process invoices, ensuring accurate coding and appropriate approvals. Prepare payments and maintain supporting documentation. Review and reconcile employee expense reports. Match invoices to purchase orders when applicable. Assist with 1099 preparation and reporting. Prepare journal entries and post transactions to the general ledger. Respond to vendor inquiries and reconcile vendor statements. Create and update vendor records. Ensure invoices are assigned to the appropriate business entity. Qualifications Previous full-cycle accounts payable experience. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines. Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
