Hybrid 2-3 days a week in the office

As the successful candidate, you will provide a comprehensive housing assessment and advice function to people in housing need by:
Carrying out detailed assessments of those applying to join the Council's Housing Register
Applying relevant legislation and the Council's Housing Allocations Policy to individual circumstances to determine eligibility and qualification to join the Council's Housing Register
Identifying people at risk of homelessness and proactively intervening to prevent homelessness whenever possible
Finding creative housing solutions for those who may be excluded from the Housing Register
Carry out home visits and provide the service in different locations and settings in the Borough in an office-based and outreach capacity, ensuring access to the service is provided to those who may be socially excluded.

To be considered for the role you will need:
Housing legislation, case law and guidance in relation to the Housing Register;
Housing legislation, case law and guidance in relation to homelessness;
Assessing housing and/or support needs and providing support to vulnerable people. xrexnqw
