Job Description
Senior Purchasing & Design Specialist is responsible with the development of presale client deliverables for potential new/repeat meetings, incentives, and events programs. Responsibilities include creative program development; sourcing/procurement; negotiation; budgeting; client and vendor contracting. Workload will be assigned with an emphasis on larger, more complex projects.

Scope of Work
Assume leadership role of large client project with multiple deliverables, coordinating the efforts of Purchasing & Design Specialists assigned. Develop and communicate timelines and parameters to team members and ensure consistency in deliverables.
Deliver operational excellence and growth in collaboration with Client Services
Effectively communicate with team members and supplier partners to ensure accurate and timely proposal development of travel projects.
Mentor and share knowledge with team members; participate in their training and development as assigned
Source rates and availability and strategize on recommendations for destinations, hotels, resorts, ships and venues
Develop appealing programs incorporating creative inclusions to maximize the client budget
Maintain awareness of emerging industry trends, and incorporate innovative themes, concepts, activities and events into proposals
Consider client/program objectives, program history, attendee demographics, and budget parameters when formulating recommendations
Negotiate competitive rates and terms/conditions on the client’s behalf, leveraging supplier relationships and seeking opportunities to enhance value
Develop solution budgets and proformas, evaluating options to achieve client budget needs and maximize One10 profit opportunities
Execute contracts, following established processes and ensuring Account Directors and clients are informed and their best interests represented in all terms and conditions
Participate in client presentations, and present One10 travel-related capabilities along with the specific solution recommendation
Support the Client Solution Development team with other duties as needed
Develop and maintain industry relationships including hotels, NSOs, DMCs, and CVBs
Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Job Description Details
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Four-year degree or equivalent experience
Minimum six (6) years’ industry experience
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a deadline driven environment
Computer proficiency in Microsoft office suite especially Word, Excel, and advanced PowerPoint
Strong editing and writing skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects
Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team
Superior customer service ethic and high expectations for quality
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Ability to travel and attend presentations

Maximum Base Pay
$65,000-$75,000
