We build effective partnerships with co-workers throughout the College by freely sharing appropriate information and providing assistance to all and maintain an environment that is welcoming to persons of all backgrounds, nationalities, and roles. </p> Job Description\: <p> Salary\: $120,000 - $135,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience. </p><p> This position is governed by the APA Collective Bargaining Agreement. </p><p> Working Hours\: 37.5</p><p> General Statement of Duties\: </p><p> The Senior Ellucian Technical and Integrations Engineer is responsible for the technical implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Colleague workflows and integrations between enterprise SaaS applications, web sites, and on-premises systems. This role focuses on ensuring seamless data exchange, system interoperability, and infrastructure reliability across platforms such as Ellucian Colleague SaaS, Ellucian Experience, Slate, Insights reporting tool and data model, and ancillary applications. The Senior Engineer collaborates closely with end users, technology resources and vendor teams to support, secure, scale, and optimize digital services for students, faculty, and staff. </p><p> Supervision Received\: This position will report to the CITO </p><p> Supervision Exercised\: Leads members of the Applications Team </p><p> Essential Duties and Responsibilities\: </p><ul><li> Design, implement, and maintain integrations between Ellucian Colleague SaaS and third-party campus systems (e.g., LMS, CRM, payment gateways) using the Ellucian Ethos platform. </li><li> Utilize Ellucian SaaS Extensibility tools to customize workflows, pages, and data points without disrupting core system upgrades. </li><li> Manage data exchange processes and ensure data integrity across enterprise platforms. </li><li> Design and implement data model additions based upon user requirements. </li><li> Write SQL queries and develop custom reports/dashboards to support institutional data needs and analytics. </li><li> Collaborate with third-party vendors, end users and internal IT teams to support system interoperability and troubleshoot integration issues. </li><li> Support the deployment and configuration of middleware, APIs, and automation tools to streamline business processes. </li><li> Monitor system performance, availability, and security of integrated services. </li><li> Maintain documentation for integration architecture, workflows, and technical procedures. </li><li> Ensure compliance with institutional data governance, security, and privacy policies. </li><li> Participate in cross-functional projects to support digital transformation and operational efficiency. </li><li> Provide technical expertise and support for enterprise application infrastructure, including OS-level and database-level administration of configurations. </li><li> Identify opportunities where AI can be applied to solve integration and optimization problems. </li><li> As a Technology Team member, contributes to the overall Information Technology Services Management (ITSM) posture at the College by participating in enterprise-wide system conversions and modernization efforts, responding to reported incidents, fulfilling requests, and contributing to the knowledgebase in accordance with standard operating procedures. </li><li> Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Information and Technology Officer. </li></ul><p> Special Working Conditions/Physical Requirements\: </p><ul><li> All work associated with the duties and responsibilities for this position is ordinarily performed at MassArt's campus and may be done periodically from a remote location consistent with the conditional provisions specified within the Technology Department's Telework Guidelines and in accordance with an approved Telework Agreement. </li></ul><p></p> Requirements\: <p> Qualifications\: </p><p> Required Minimum Qualifications\: </p><ul><li> Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field?or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li><li>7+ years of experience in systems integration, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise application support. </li><li> Strong understanding of integration technologies (e.g., APIs, web services, ETL tools, reporting tools, middleware). </li><li> Experience with Ellucian Colleague SaaS and related higher education systems. </li><li> Experience with PHP in either the Ellucian Colleague or other development environments. </li><li> Hands-on experience with Ellucian Experience, including widget development and integration with institutional systems. </li><li> Hands-on experience with Ellucian Ethos and workflow development tools. </li><li> Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server), data structures, data management principles and administrative tasks. </li><li> Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills. </li></ul><p> Preferred Qualifications\: </p><ul><li> Experience in AI frameworks and agentic principles is a plus. </li><li> Knowledge of a procedural language such as Javascript or Python a plus </li><li> Knowledge of frontend web technologies such as Wordpress </li><li> Knowledge of ITIL practices and project management methodologies. </li><li> Experience working in a higher education environment. </li><li> Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, AWS Solutions Architect, Ellucian Integration certifications). </li></ul><p> Note\: Responsibilities and qualifications are subject to
