Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Patent Prosecution Associate Attorney in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patent prosecution, particularly in the life sciences sector, and will join a dynamic team handling sophisticated legal matters.
DutiesDraft and prosecute U.S. and foreign patent applications.Conduct opinion work and due diligence.Provide litigation support and client counseling.Engage in licensing and other life sciences-focused projects.
RequirementsMinimum of 2 years of patent prosecution experience.Admitted to the USPTO.Strong academic credentials.
EducationAdvanced degree in biology, chemistry, or a biotechnical discipline.
CertificationsUSPTO admission.
SkillsExperience with life sciences clients.Excellent drafting and prosecuting skills.
