Our client, a fashion brand, is seeking a Technical Designer to join their team in New York City.

Responsibilities:Create and maintain detailed technical packages (specs, measurements, construction details, grading, and fit comments)Lead fit sessions and provide clear, actionable feedback to vendors and internal teamsReview and measure samples to ensure accuracy against specs and brand standardsCollaborate with Design to resolve fit, construction, and quality issues while maintaining aesthetic intentCommunicate fit corrections, pattern adjustments, and construction changes to overseas and domestic vendorsReview and approve grading, markers, and size sets as neededEnsure products meet quality, performance, and cost requirementsTrack and manage sample progress through development milestones and production timelinesPartner with Production and QA teams to address bulk production issues and ensure consistencySupport continuous improvement of fit standards, block development, and technical processes
Requirements:5-7 years related experienceBachelor’s Degree in Fashion/Product Design preferredKnowledge of Technical Design and the ability of writing accurate garment specifications and communication fit and construction. Ladies apparel background a plusAbility to read design specs. Knowledge of gradingAbility to spec garments and determine compliance of spec, construction, and fit intentMust be organized, detail minded and have strong collaboration, communication and follow up skills
