Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced MCR Executive to manage and monitor the Master Control Room (MCR) operations, ensuring uninterrupted and high-quality transmission across broadcast channels. The role requires hands-on experience in playout automation, MCR switching, graphics, signal monitoring, live broadcast workflows and transmission troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate Master Control Room (MCR) systems to ensure uninterrupted channel transmission.
• Manage scheduled programming, live events, commercial breaks and other on-air activities.
• Operate and monitor Playout Automation Systems such as Harris, GV iTX and Karthavya Automation .
• Work on MCR switching systems including GV iS-750, Icon Master, GV Masterpiece and ROSS MC1 .
• Monitor broadcast signals, transmission paths and signal quality throughout the shift.
• Detect, diagnose and resolve transmission faults, equipment failures and signal degradation promptly.
• Execute secondary/backup playout paths and Disaster Recovery (DR) procedures during outages or technical failures.
• Monitor and manage broadcast routing systems, emergency switchers and server/storage environments.
• Work closely with Engineering, Broadcast IT, PCR, Newsroom and other technical teams to resolve transmission-related issues.
• Support Live Broadcast, Channel Playout and Transmission workflows .
• Monitor graphics integration and related systems, including Vizrt, Infinity and similar platforms .
• Perform basic troubleshooting of broadcast equipment and coordinate with relevant technical teams for complex issues.
• Ensure adherence to established broadcast transmission procedures, MCR SOPs and escalation protocols .
• Maintain accurate shift logs and report technical incidents, outages and operational issues.
• Ensure smooth handover of critical information and pending issues to the incoming shift.
• Respond effectively to technical issues and transmission emergencies in a time-sensitive broadcast environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 3–4 years of relevant experience in Broadcast/MCR Operations .
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Playout Automation Systems , preferably Harris, GV iTX or Karthavya Automation .
• Operational experience with GV iS-750, Icon Master, GV Masterpiece and/or ROSS MC1 .
• Working knowledge of broadcast graphics systems such as Vizrt, Infinity or similar platforms .
• Good understanding of broadcast signal flow, routing, switching and transmission workflows .
• Experience with Live Broadcast, Channel Playout and Transmission operations .
• Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues during live transmission.
• Knowledge of broadcast routing systems, emergency switching and server/storage environments .
• Strong monitoring and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and make quick operational decisions during live broadcasts.
• Good communication, coordination and escalation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and operational discipline.
• Willingness to work in a 24x7 rotational shift environment .

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with prior experience in news broadcasting, television channels, MCR operations, transmission, playout or broadcast control rooms will be preferred.
