What You’ll Do

As a PRN Registered Nurse with Southern Health Partners, you’ll provide quality healthcare to patients at Alleghany Regional Jail while working alongside a dedicated correctional healthcare team. This is a great opportunity for an RN looking for flexible, as-needed work while making a meaningful impact on patient care.

Your responsibilities may include:

Providing nursing care and assessing patient health needs

Administering medications and treatments as ordered

Monitoring patients and recognizing changes in condition

Responding to urgent and routine medical needs

Communicating with providers and other members of the healthcare team

Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation

Providing patient education and supporting continuity of care

Promoting a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment

QualificationsQualifications

Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Virginia

Current CPR certification

Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Previous correctional healthcare experience is helpful, but not required
