Role Description The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries. The role includes preparation of invoices, tracking payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting monthly and annual closings. The Accountant will assist in preparing financial statements, tax-related documentation, and compliance reports, as well as coordinating with auditors and internal stakeholders. The position also involves monitoring budgets, analyzing cost data relevant to polymer manufacturing, and providing financial insights to support decision-making. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and basic taxation practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems) and MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to maintain accurate ledgers, perform reconciliations, and manage accounts payable/receivable.
• Good analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external auditors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
• Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to work on-site in Chennai and manage deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
