Job Description
Café Coffee Day's menu consists of different cuisines. The job responsibility of this role is to keep a track of global and local food trends, create new food products and implement best practises in the industry.
Responsibilities New Product Development: Create new food products based on global trends Competition Review: Competitor tracking for products, best practises Product library: Trials and recipe documentation of food Product Costing: Costing and margin analysis of new products SOP and Training Content: Content creation for training of new products Training: Train the trainer programmes and staff training for new products Vendor Management: Work with external vendors and suppliers to source ingredients-breads, desserts, gravies, sauces , fillings , seasonings for new product development Cost Management: Monitor and manage product costs. Continuous work on improving product costs through alternate ingredients and new vendors Process enhancement: Identify opportunities of process and equipment improvement and enhancement in the system Quality Control: Work closely with the QA team for product related closures-Product Specifications, SOP's, Nutritional Information, Allergens Overall, the new product development manager/asst manager plays a crucial role in new product development, competitor review and tracking global trends, cost management, vendor management and process enhancement
Qualifications
Bachelor in Hotel Management 6-15 years experience in Hotel / QSR innovations Strong verbal or written communication skills Hot kitchen with well versed with cuisines of continental , American , Oriental , Indian Technical knowledge of frozen foods, science of cooking Open to travel PAN IndiaDetails
