36 bed Orthopedic Trauma/ Joint Replacement Unit in the Justin Tower- We provide care for patients with trauma/burn and orthopedic injuries. The unit cares primarily for adolescent and adult patients who have traumatic injuries, orthopedic trauma, and burns (20% or less). Additionally, patients requiring telemetry monitoring may be cared for on this unit. Typical patient injuries can be comprised of rib fractures, distal orthopedic injuries, traumatic spinal injuries, closed head injuries with and without state of confusion, traumatic amputations, hemothoraxs, pneumothoraxes, and etc.
