Read on to find out what you will need to succeed in this position, including skills, qualifications, and experience.
Company OverviewBluefields Specialty is a next-generation, tech-enabled managing general agent that builds curated insurance programs for the specialty markets traditional carriers overlook. We bring laser focus to niche verticals and turn complex, underserved risks into outperforming portfolios, pairing seasoned underwriting judgment with a modern, AI-native platform: proprietary data, next-gen loss control, and the speed to act on both.We are a growth-stage company that values creative collaborators with a bias for action and personal adaptability. We move fast, wear many hats, and prop each other up — no silos. Our flagship program, vQuip, is a leader in adventure sports and outdoor recreation risk (powersports, watersports, outfitters and guides, ski and bike, and sports complexes). We've grown fast — more than 5x premium in two years — by underwriting with discipline, not by chasing volume.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Account Manager to own client relationships across a portfolio of our insured businesses (our customers). This is a two-sided role. First and foremost, you will run day-to-day customer success — onboarding new insureds, servicing their policies, and driving retention and satisfaction. Beyond that, the role carries a growth dimension unique to Bluefields: acting as a loss control partner who helps insureds operate more safely and “bend the risk curve”. We take a consultative approach with our insureds, demonstrating to them our risk management expertise and defining what “success” looks like across our programs. You will start by mastering the customer servicing engine, then grow into strategic loss control work — the part of the role that sets Bluefields apart and creates the clearest path for advancement.
