Accounts Receivable Specialist

Insight Global is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a leading organization in the insurance industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their accounting and finance experience while working in a collaborative environment with long-term potential. This is a 6-month contract with potential for extension or conversion , offering a hybrid schedule and an immediate start date .

Location: Omaha, NE

Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Pay Rate: $21.50/hour

Duration: 6-month contract with potential to extend/convert

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM or 8:30 AM-5:00 PM

Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain customer accounts receivable portfolios
• Reconcile payments, unapplied cash, and outstanding balances
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies
• Partner with agents, customers, brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate account management
• Process transfers, offsets, and refund requests
• Utilize Excel extensively throughout the day for account analysis and reconciliation
• Provide customer service and support through multiple communication channels

Required Qualifications

• At least 6 months of Accounts Receivable experience
• Prior office or administrative experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Insurance industry experience
• Agency billing experience
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred, not required)
