Position: Database management system with ArcGIS experience Location: Hybrid – Pikesville, MD and remote (1-2 days onsite – subject to change as per client policy)need only local to maryland

Job Role: This position is a technical role with the candidate having real experience in database management systems analysis and programming, application design, GIS-related database support, and end-user support. The candidate should be a highly skilled, dependable, and self-directed professional to support the design, administration, analysis, programming, and optimization of critical database systems; and should be able to work independently, manage priorities with minimal supervision, troubleshoot complex issues, and consistently deliver accurate, reliable results.
Important Note on Requirements: The General Experience and Specialized Experience mentioned below are a must. Candidate having Preferred Experience and Highly Desired Experience will be given more weightage. There will be two rounds of interview before a decision is made.
Key Job Responsibilities:Perform senior-level database management systems analysis and programmingDesign, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot applications utilizing a variety of database management systemsSupport and work with current DBMS technologies, including DBMS internalsAdminister and support enterprise geodatabasesSupport enterprise geodatabase versioning workflowsPerform spatial data design and maintenanceSupport GIS data publishing and GIS-related database workflowsIntegrate database solutions with ArcGIS ProSupport end users with software applications by troubleshooting issues and providing technical assistanceHelp ensure database reliability, accuracy, performance, and operational continuityWork independently with minimal supervision while managing assigned tasks and priorities effectively
REQUIREMENTS:Education (must have):A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or another related scientific or technical discipline, or three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field, in addition to the experience requirements listed below.General Experience (must have):Must have six (6) years of experience in database management systems (DBMS) analysis and programming.Specialized Experience (must have):Must have at least three (3) years of experience using current DBMS technologies, including:application design utilizing various database management systemsexperience with DBMS internalsexperience working with SQL Server and OraclePreferred Qualifications (good to have):At least three (3) years of experience managing GIS-related DBMS. xzbcwsv Specifically experience with:enterprise geodatabase administrationenterprise geodatabase versioningspatial data design and maintenanceGIS data publishing and supportintegration with ArcGIS ProAt least one (1) year of experience using ArcGIS Pro to create shapefiles and GeoPackagesAt least five (5) years of experience supporting end users with software applicationsHighly Desired:Experience writing and troubleshooting JavaScript and/or other programming languages.Professional Attributes:Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and attention to detailAbility to work independently and produce high-quality work with minimal supervisionStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to support both technical systems and end users in a professional, responsive mannerAbility to exercise sound judgment and consistently deliver dependable results
