Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Statutory Audit Executive – NBFC to support statutory audit assignments, financial reviews, RBI/NBFC compliances, and audit documentation. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing standards, and RBI NBFC regulations .

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and execution of statutory audits of NBFCs in accordance with Standards on Auditing (SA).
• Conduct vouching, verification, ledger scrutiny, and account reconciliations .
• Perform reviews related to RBI NBFC compliances and regulatory requirements .
• Review financial statements and supporting documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Review NBFC-related areas including loan portfolios, NPA classification, provisioning, interest income, and related schedules .
• Prepare audit working papers, schedules, audit reports, and management representations.
• Ensure compliance with Companies Act, Accounting Standards, IND AS, RBI guidelines, and applicable statutory regulations .
• Coordinate with clients for collection of audits, financial, and compliance-related information.
• Identify discrepancies, control gaps, and regulatory compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Support senior team members in finalization of statutory audit and compliance assignments.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in Statutory Audit, preferably with exposure to NBFC audits .
• Strong knowledge of Standards on Auditing (SA), Accounting Standards, and IND AS .
• Working knowledge of RBI NBFC compliances and regulatory requirements .
• Understanding of financial statement preparation and audit procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/audit software .
• Good analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and adhere to deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in CA firms, consulting firms, or audit practices .
• Exposure to statutory audits of NBFCs, private limited companies, LLPs, or listed entities .
• Knowledge of RBI regulations and NBFC financial reporting .
• Experience in tax audits, internal audits, and compliance reviews will be an added advantage.
• Practical exposure to NPA, provisioning, loan portfolio review, and RBI compliance will be preferred.
