This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Vice President, Finance based in the United States. This is a senior finance leadership opportunity within a high-growth, technology-enabled healthcare organization focused on transforming care for children with complex medical needs. The role serves as a strategic partner to the CFO and senior leadership, translating business strategy into financial plans, insights, and measurable outcomes. You will lead FP&A, strategic finance, performance management, and business analytics while strengthening enterprise-wide financial visibility. Working across Operations, Clinical, Growth, Accounting, Actuarial, and Business Development, you will guide disciplined resource allocation and strategic decision-making. You will also engage with executives, Board members, investors, and lenders on financial performance, capital strategy, and growth initiatives. As the organization scales, you will build high-performing teams, strengthen processes and systems, and develop capabilities that support increasingly complex operations. This role is designed for a strategic, hands-on finance leader who thrives in ambiguity, drives transformation, and is ready to take on broader enterprise leadership responsibilities. \nAccountabilities
- Serve as a strategic partner to the CFO, executive leadership, Board, investors, and lenders, translating enterprise priorities into financial strategies, plans, and measurable outcomes.
- Provide comprehensive financial visibility across the organization, identifying business drivers, emerging risks, growth opportunities, and strategic tradeoffs.
- Prepare executive-level financial reporting, Board presentations, investor communications, lender materials, and strategic recommendations.
- Partner with the CFO on capital strategy, financing and refinancing activities, corporate transactions, and other major strategic initiatives.
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, performance management, and strategic decision-support processes.
- Own the integrated financial model, including long-range planning, scenario analysis, liquidity forecasting, and capital allocation recommendations.
- Develop scalable KPI frameworks, dashboards, reporting capabilities, and performance management processes that enable data-driven decisions.
- Oversee forecasting and performance reporting for value-based care and risk-based arrangements, translating financial and actuarial information into actionable insights.
- Partner with Accounting and Actuarial leaders to align financial planning, reporting, cash flow management, medical cost forecasting, and enterprise performance management.
- Develop investment evaluation, ROI, and capital allocation frameworks to improve financial discipline and accountability.
- Evaluate market expansion, payer partnerships, strategic investments, clinical programs, technology initiatives, workforce strategies, and operational transformation opportunities.
- Support potential M&A, joint ventures, debt transactions, and other strategic activities through financial diligence, valuation, integration planning, and post-transaction analysis.
- Strengthen financial systems, processes, governance, and organizational capabilities to support sustainable growth and scalability.
- Recruit, develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing Finance organization while building leadership bench strength and fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain strong financial controls, audit readiness, regulatory compliance, risk management, and financial governance practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; an MBA, CPA, CFA, or comparable advanced credential is preferred.
- 10–15+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership responsibilities across strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, consulting, private equity, corporate development, or related functions.
- Proven experience leading enterprise financial planning, forecasting, performance management, and strategic decision-support activities.
- Experience in healthcare is strongly preferred, particularly within provider, payer, healthcare services, value-based care, or risk-bearing environments.
- Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive enterprise decisions through rigorous financial analysis and strong business judgment.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging Boards, investors, lenders, and senior executive teams.
- Proven success building and leading high-performing Finance teams, scalable processes, and organizational capabilities.
- Strong understanding of financial modeling, scenario planning, capital allocation, performance analytics, and enterprise resource management.
- Ability to operate as both a strategic leader and hands-on player/coach in a fast-paced, high-growth environment characterized by ambiguity and frequent change.
- A collaborative, intellectually curious, and adaptable leadership style, with a willingness to challenge assumptions, test new approaches, and continuously improve.
- Genuine commitment to improving healthcare outcomes and supporting better experiences for children with complex medical needs.
- Base salary range of $215,000–$250,000, plus annual bonus incentive.
