CDL Class B - Ready Mix Driver

We're hiring a CDL Class B - Ready-Mix Driver to join County Ready Mix in Groveland, FL. Job Summary: A ReadyMix Driver is responsible for transporting freshly mixed concrete from the batching plant to construction sites in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. This position plays a critical role in maintaining concrete quality from plant to pour. ReadyMix Drivers must understand basic construction site procedures, follow all safety and DOT requirements, and deliver excellent customer service. Drivers are also responsible for monitoring and adjusting concrete consistency as needed, maintaining a clean mixer truck, and supporting plant and yard operations. Job Duties ensure spare trucks are greased before use Chip hardened concrete from inside the drum using approved tools (air hammer, 3lb or 4lb hammer) Assist with plant and yard maintenance, including sweeping, cleaning, and upkeep Help maintain cleanliness of plant facilities, including bathrooms, breakrooms, floors, and garbage areas Participate in yard pours, including cleaning and sweeping afterward Read, review, and sign weekly Safety Data Sheets (SDS) Stay current on all posted notices, procedures, and safety updates Training will train drivers in Ready-Mix procedures. Ability to perform well in a "Team" environment. Self-motivator and must be flexible to accommodate the workload Exercise good judgment regarding work site unloading and operation Ability to perform well as a team Self-motivator and must be flexible to accommodate the needs of your team. Safety minded when performing tasks Ability and willingness to learn and be trained Work Environment: Work is typically performed in an Outdoor environment. Exposure may include: Noise, weather, machinery, chemicals, public interaction, etc. Travel required: 90% Company Vehicle Typical work hours/shifts: 40-hour work week, (possible layoff in winter months), every other weekend, overtime expectations.
