CNC Machinist

CNC Machinist Our client, a leading manufacturer specializing in tanker truck equipment, is seeking a dedicated CNC Machinist to join their team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be an essential part of the manufacturing operations supporting the production of high-quality equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, strong mechanical aptitude, and a desire to contribute to a successful team environment. Job Title: CNC Machinist Location: Traverse City, MI Pay Range: $20-22/hr based on experience Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm Monday through Friday, overtime sometimes available and encouraged. What's the Job? Read and interpret technical documents and drawings of parts needing to be machined. Set up and operate CNC machines including mills and lathes from Okuma, Haas, and Mazak. Verify measurements of finished products using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications. Machine, drill, shape, grind, and polish parts to meet quality standards. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment while working independently or as part of a team. What's Needed? 2 to 3 years of experience in CNC machining or a related field. Ability to read and understand G, M, and conversational codes. Proficiency in setting up programs and operating CNC equipment from various manufacturers. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed Reliable transportation and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
