Journeyman Automotive Technician

Ogden Lincoln of Westmont – Westmont, IL

Ogden Lincoln of Westmont is looking for an experienced Journeyman Automotive Technician to join our Service Department. We are seeking a skilled, dependable technician who takes pride in their work and is comfortable diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining today’s vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle mechanical and electrical concerns
• Perform maintenance and repairs according to manufacturer specifications
• Complete engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brake, electrical, and other automotive repairs
• Perform accurate and efficient vehicle inspections
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle concerns
• Clearly document diagnosis, repairs performed, and recommended repairs
• Complete work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
• Follow dealership and manufacturer safety procedures
• Work closely with Service Advisors and other members of the Service Department
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

• Previous professional automotive technician experience required
• Journeyman-level diagnostic and repair skills
• Ford or Lincoln dealership experience preferred, NOT REQUIRED
• Ford/Lincoln certifications are a plus
• Strong electrical and diagnostic abilities
• Ability to perform repairs independently
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Must have your own basic automotive tools
• Dependable, professional, and able to work as part of a team
