About Shantilal Muttha Foundation
SMF is a non-profit organisation working to transform school education through values-based, systemic interventions. Through the Mulyavardhan Programme, SMF partners with the Government of Maharashtra to strengthen values-based learning in schools.
Position Purpose: Design and deliver capacity-building programmes for teachers and education stakeholders, develop training resources, provide implementation support, and collaborate with programme teams to strengthen quality and learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Training Design: Design and facilitate online/offline, interactive and activity-based training programmes.
- Training Strategy: Support annual capacity-building plans and training strategies.
- Quality Implementation: Ensure effective delivery and adherence to training quality standards.
- Training Resources: Develop and review modules, facilitator guides, presentations, and learning resources.
- Innovation: Introduce innovative learning methodologies aligned with programme objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Incorporate participant feedback to strengthen training content.
- Needs Assessment: Identify region-specific training needs through field interactions and stakeholder consultations.
- Training Impact: Support assessment of training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Team Collaboration: Work with Curriculum, Programme, M&E, and Partnerships teams.
- Evidence & Learning: Support data collection, evidence generation, and organisational learning.
- Records & Reports: Maintain training records and prepare periodic programme reports.
- Knowledge Management: Document best practices, success stories, case studies, and field learnings.
Qualifications
Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Social Work, Development Studies, or a related discipline.
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in the development sector.
- Experience in developing training modules, educational content, and facilitator resources.
- Experience in conducting Training Need Assessments (TNA).
- Experience in classroom observation, mentoring, and post-training support will be preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders, including government officials, school leaders, and teachers.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Understanding of the National Education Policy (NEP), child psychology, pedagogy, and education systems will be an added advantage
