Role Description The Junior Architect will support the design and integration of architectural lighting solutions across residential, retail, and specialty projects. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, working closely with senior architects and lighting consultants to develop concept designs, detailed drawings, and coordinated documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in architectural design, preparing 2 D and 3 D drawings, contributing to lighting layouts, and ensuring design intent is maintained through all stages of the project. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, participating in client meetings as needed, and helping manage project timelines and deliverables. The Junior Architect will also support site coordination, design revisions, and documentation for approvals and construction. Qualifications
Strong foundational skills in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to integrate lighting concepts into spatial layouts. Experience or familiarity with Integration and Software Development concepts as they relate to digital design tools, BIM workflows, and coordinated project documentation. Basic Project Management skills, including organizing tasks, tracking deadlines, and supporting communication across design and construction teams. Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Auto CAD, Revit, Sketch Up, or similar 2 D/3 D tools); experience with lighting simulation software is an advantage. Relevant academic background such as a bachelor's degree in Architecture or an equivalent professional qualification. Strong visual design sense, attention to detail, and interest in minimalistic, integrated lighting design. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site with multidisciplinary teams in Chennai. Willingness to learn, take feedback constructively, and grow within a specialized architectural lighting environment.
