Position Details

• Position: Registered Nurse (Cardiovascular Unit - CVU)
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks (91 Days)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Schedule

• Shift: Days
• Hours: 12-hour shifts
• Start Time: 7:00 AM

Requirements

• Current California RN License
• Current BLS
• Current ACLS
• Epic charting experience
• Minimum 2 years of Critical Care experience
• Successful completion of previous travel assignments
• Must be willing to float to other units, including Med/Surg

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years Critical Care RN experience
• Epic EMR experience
• Previous travel assignment experience

Required Certifications

• California RN License
• BLS
• ACLS

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care for medium to high acuity cardiovascular patients.
• Care for patients with cardiac diagnoses including:
  • Pre/Post CABG
  • Carotid Endarterectomy
  • Acute Myocardial Infarction (MI)
  • Post Pacemaker Insertion
  • Arrhythmias
  • Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
  • Pneumonia and other complex medical conditions
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Document patient care in Epic.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Float to Med/Surg or other units as needed.
