Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity invites experienced inpatient pharmacists to provide specialized care in a pediatric hospital setting, focusing on medication management for young patients. The facility is situated between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, offering a dynamic work environment dedicated to children's health. Location: Hollywood, FL (between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale) Schedule: Option 1: 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM, rotating weekends (5 days per week, 8-hour shifts) Option 2: Overnight shift 11:00 PM - 7:15 AM, rotating weekends (5 days per week, 8-hour shifts) Contract Duration: Starting August 25th for a 13-week assignment Responsibilities: Perform typical inpatient pharmacy duties with a focus on pediatric dosing Ensure accurate medication preparation, dispensing, and monitoring tailored to neonates and pediatric patients Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize drug therapy and patient outcomes Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system for documentation and order processing Maintain compliance with hospital policies and state regulations Qualifications and Desired Experience: Current, active Florida pharmacist license in good standing Prefer candidates with pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience; resumes should clearly reflect these skills Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations and pediatric medication requirements Proficiency using EPIC EMR system is essential This role offers the chance to apply specialized pharmacy skills in a rewarding pediatric setting on a short-term basis.
