Project Manager

Our client, a Wisconsin-based residential general contractor, is seeking a Project Manager to oversee a multitude of residential construction/build jobs in SE WI. This is a full-time, direct-hire position, targeting $80K-$90K base compensation, with bonus potential to create an “all in” package of $100K+. The role requires normal M-F hours and works in office, in Wauwatosa, onsite for project work and WORK FROM HOME as NEEDED. This client “subs” all project work to a reliable group of skilled tradesmen, so initiating and managing projects are key to the success of this role. The incumbent will:Bring proficient knowledge of construction, building methods, and basics of building science; and basic carpentry and handyman skills.Be responsible for facilitating initial design consultations with clients, creating scopes of work, working with designers and clients during design phase, creating project plan, schedule and budget as well as coordinating execution of projects with subcontractors and vendors.Manage 3-5 projects in parallel and maintain pace toward milestones while escalating issues or troubleshooting on job sites.Work closely with designer and client during design phase to ensure buildabilityWork with owner and client to create project plan, implementation/project schedule and budgetMaintain sub-contractor relationships by providing sufficient scope and project documentation as well as troubleshooting during the projectPerform Ordering / Securing / Coordinating of all building materials and deliverablesMaintain vendor relationships for products including warranty claimsUtilize industry tools like Buildertrend and CAD software.

Qualifications2+ years experience in construction/project management2+ years experience working directly with clients around construction/building projects. xzbcwsv 5+ years experience, either personal or professional, utilizing skilled trades skills towards carpentry/residential construction.
