Job description US Payroll Specialist, Remote US Job Overview: The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing the company's payroll system, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for all employees. This role involves processing payroll, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The Payroll Specialist plays a key role in supporting the finance and HR teams to ensure smooth and efficient payroll operations. Key Responsibilities: Payroll Processing: Process and prepare accurate payroll on a bi-weekly and monthly schedule. Review timecards and attendance records to ensure accuracy before processing payroll. Ensure all earnings, deductions, bonuses, and commissions are properly calculated. Compliance Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 3-5+ years of experience in payroll administration Strong knowledge of payroll software (e.g., Gusto, Dayforce etc.). Familiarity with tax regulations, wage garnishments, and other payroll-related compliance requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information. Preferred Skills: Experience in multi-state payroll processing. Certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus. Experience with migrating to a new software.
