GAMMA Marine is seeking an experienced and committed Marine Technician to support its new vessel construction projects. The role involves the installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems onboard newly constructed vessels. Key Responsibilities

Install, test, commission, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment onboard new-build vessels. Read and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, installation procedures, and project specifications. Carry out machinery installation, functional testing, fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities. Install and integrate propulsion machinery, deck machinery, electrical motors, control panels, bridge equipment, and associated systems. Support the installation and alignment of shafting systems, gearboxes, propellers, rudders, steering systems, pumps, capstans, and winches. Ensure proper system integration, operational reliability, and compliance with applicable project requirements. Supervise wooden and FRP hull construction activities to ensure workmanship, quality standards, and compliance with approved drawings and specifications. Diagnose faults in propulsion, deck, mechanical, and auxiliary machinery, and carry out repairs and maintenance as required. Coordinate effectively with vendors, contractors, fabricators, and project personnel during installation and construction activities. Assist with procurement planning, equipment inspections, material verification, and project execution activities as required. Desired Background and Experience Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in marine engineering, shipbuilding, vessel construction, or marine repair projects. Practical experience in the installation and commissioning of: Electrical equipment and motors Battery and battery-management systems Propulsion machinery and gearboxes Shafting systems, propellers, and rudders Steering gear and hydraulic systems Pumps, capstans, winches, and deck machinery Bridge equipment, control panels, and shipboard auxiliary machinery Experience in vendor coordination, contractor supervision, procurement support, and project execution. Retired Indian Navy POME personnel with relevant technical and shipbuilding experience will be given preference. QualificationsDiploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical trade.
