Associate professor in fashion design

Teaching & Academic Duties

Deliver lectures, studio sessions, and workshops in fashion design and related subjects Develop and update course materials, lesson plans, and assessments Mentor and guide students in academic and creative projects Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations/theses Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback

Curriculum Development

Design and revise curriculum to align with industry trends and academic standards Integrate emerging technologies and sustainable practices into coursework

Research & Publications

Conduct scholarly research in fashion design or related areas Publish research papers in reputed journals and present at conferences Contribute to the academic reputation of the institution

Industry Engagement

Maintain strong connections with the fashion industry Organize guest lectures, workshops, and industry visits Facilitate internships and placement opportunities for students

Administrative Responsibilities

Participate in departmental meetings and academic committees Assist in accreditation and quality assurance processes Contribute to institutional development activities

Qualifications & Requirements

Master's degree in Fashion Design or a related field (Ph D preferred) Minimum 5–8 years of teaching and/or industry experience Strong portfolio showcasing design expertise Proven record of research and publications (preferred) Excellent communication and mentoring skills
