Job Summary:
The Microsoft Cloud Security Architect will be responsible for leading the implementation of a variety of Microsoft 365 cloud and IT security solutions. Responsibilities for this role will include promotion and implementation of innovative solutions within hybrid and cloud-based identity, security, and collaboration tooling. In addition, this role will have the opportunity to advance hybrid networking, virtualization, and infrastructure environments to implement best practices across cloud technologies.
This role will be able to demonstrate deep knowledge with the implementation and/or support of hybrid environments. Cloud experience within infrastructure platforms is required. This candidate will exhibit a consultative communication style to clients on cloud solutions. The candidate must be willing to grow technology and infrastructure fundamentals with self-paced and formal training, provided by BDO Digital as needed.
Job Duties:
- Utilizes cloud application and modern desktop skills to be able to design, present, troubleshoot, and lead the implementation of infrastructure solutions including:
- Microsoft 365 solutions to promote innovative technologies to solve business problems
- Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS), Active Directory with Azure AD and AD Connect deployment and integration
- Microsoft Suite of products to include but not limited to Office 365, Purview, Compliance Manager, Sentinel, Endpoint Manager, Windows Server, and related cloud technologies
- Virtualization with Hyper-V and/or VMware
- Zero trust design architecture and advisory
- Basic networking (VLAN, VNET configuration)
- Other duties include:
- Uses business acumen to develop and present client roadmaps, health checks, and assessments
- Travels to local client sites, as needed
- Other duties as required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Coaches junior peers or leads a project team
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Education:
- High school diploma or GED, required
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred
Experience:
- Six (6) or more years of technical infrastructure implementation experience with increasing responsibility within Microsoft cloud security solutions, required
- Three (3) or more years of experience implementing security and compliance, required
- Two (2) or more years of experience in cloud and on-premises infrastructure, virtualization, Active Directory, and networking, required
- Three (3) or more years professional consulting experience, preferred
Software:
- One (1) or more of the following, required:
- Directory and Identity Services (Azure AD/AD Connect, AD domain migration)
- Office 365 (O365) (Exchange Online or Teams meetings calling & devices)
- Endpoint Manager (Configuration Manager, Intune, AutoPilot)
- Microsoft Purview and Compliance Manager
- Enterprise Mobility + Security
Other Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Aptitude for working in a consulting environment
- Ability to troubleshoot issues, identify solutions, and appropriately escalate issues
- Strong analytical, facilitation, and documentation skills
- Strong project planning, scoping, and management skills
- Strong business process analysis & design and process flow skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment while handling multiple projects/tasks simultaneously with a focus on details
- Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
- Ability to work well under pressure while dealing with unexpected problems in a professional manner
- Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment
- Must have excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
National Range: $90,000 - $180,000
Maryland Range: $90,000 - $180,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $90,000 - $180,000
