Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid School Social Worker (SSW) 310 approval
• Active state social work license
• Previous experience as a School Social Worker or in a related school-based role
• Strong understanding of special education processes, including Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Skilled in building rapport with students, families, and academic teams
• Clear communication abilities, both written and verbal
• Compassionate, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in an educational setting

• Provide social-emotional support, counseling, and crisis intervention to students
• Collaborate with general and special education teams to develop and implement IEPs
• Conduct assessments, maintain accurate records, and offer referrals for community resources
• Engage in consultations with staff and parents, fostering an inclusive, supportive school environment
• Facilitate social skills groups and promote programs that enhance student resilience and well-being
• Support compliance with state and federal regulations relevant to school social work
