Areas of Responsibility (Key Result Areas):

  • As the custodian of AD Pro Directory, the associate editor is an essential part of the AD team and should work in the best interest of AD and AD Pro Directory.
  • They must build on the existing AD Pro Directory property through editorial and commercial means as determined by this vertical.
  • They must propagate the AD Pro Directory vision as a community building exercise and find appropriate opportunities to build on that
  • They must work alongside the editorial and commercial teams in doing a thorough quality check for all brands and architects/designers brought on board the AD Pro Directory.
  • They should plan and commission articles for the AD Pro Directory vertical, and ensure that these are high-quality digital stories, with professionally shot photographs, while the designer or brand is represented in an editorial style.
  • They must work closely with the AD editorial team to identify digital stories, commission them, and write them for the AD website
  • They must understand SEO and traffic driven content.
  • They must be responsible for all copy, grammar, spell checks, hygiene checks on the AD Pro Directory weblink.
  • They must work closely with the AD Pro Directory planning team to grow the vertical, to identify the important products/projects of the onboarded AD Pro Directory partners and create opportunities for editorial coverage.
  • They must supervise and edit all social media creatives for AD Pro Directory.
  • They must supervise all communication sent out related to AD Pro Directory, and represent editorial in all partner communication.
  • They must ideate and come up with digital, video, event ideas to expand the influence on AD Pro Directory
  • They will work with the commercial teams to understand standout works of AD Pro Directory partner, represent AD editorial team in partner communication and identify opportunities for possible editorial coverage.
  • They must identify potential AD Pro Directory members and reach out to them to facilitate on-boarding
  • They must maintain a working relationship with members, identifying their needs and finding appropriate opportunities to address them (through print, digital, events)
  • They must schedule and be accountable for AD Pro Directly outreach programs, especially those held in-person such as the Editor's Brunches
  • They must plan the annual content calendar and event calendar for AD PRO Directory partners in sync with AD brand goals & priorities
