Job Overview

We are seeking a versatile Mid-Level PHP Developer to maintain, enhance, and expand our internal CRM & HRM platforms at Syed Professional Services. In addition to core web development, this role involves leveraging AI tools and APIs to automate tasks, improve workflow efficiency, and assist in designing an AI-driven Learning Management System (LMS) module.

Key Responsibilities

• CRM & HRM Platform Maintenance:


• Maintain, optimize, and build new modules for our existing CRM and HRM systems.


• Debug issues, optimize database queries, and improve overall system response time.


• Implement role-based access control, employee tracking, and reporting features.


• AI Feature Integration & LMS Model Development:


• Connect CRM/HRM and LMS components with AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, Hugging Face, or open-source local LLMs).


• Build features for an AI-powered LMS, such as automated quiz generation, intelligent student query responses, personal learning recommendations, and AI content summaries.


• Utilize AI-assisted coding practices to speed up development workflows and optimize code quality.


• API & System Architecture:


• Design, test, and document RESTful APIs to integrate internal platforms with third-party tools.


• Ensure data security, proper handling of sensitive HR/client records, and routine system backups.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Core Technical Skills:


• 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience with PHP (Raw PHP or frameworks like Laravel / CodeIgniter).


• Strong proficiency with MySQL / MariaDB database design, indexing, and complex queries.


• Front-end fundamentals: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), jQuery / AJAX, and Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.


• Working knowledge of RESTful API design and integration.


• Familiarity with Git version control and modern deployment workflows.


• AI & Automation Knowledge:


• Experience working with AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) or building wrapper services for LLM pipelines.


• Practical understanding of prompt engineering, token management, and structured JSON output from LLM endpoints.


• Basic understanding of how machine learning or AI models connect to web platforms for educational/LMS use cases.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Previous experience developing or customizing LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, custom PHP LMS, or SCORM/xAPI integrations).


• Basic familiarity with Python or microservices for handling standalone AI backend tasks.


• Knowledge of server setup, cPanel, SSL configuration, and basic Linux commands.
