This inpatient facility operates at a Level 3 trauma designation and maintains the clinical infrastructure and established protocols necessary to support gastroenterology locum tenens coverage. The facility is structured to ensure continuity of specialized care for an adult patient population, with RN and MA support staff available to assist with clinical operations. On-site resources are in place to facilitate coordinated patient care delivery throughout each assigned coverage period.

The area offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor and cultural attractions suited to varied interests. Lady Bird Lake provides opportunities for paddleboarding, kayaking, hiking, and biking, while Zilker Park offers green space and recreational options throughout the year. Clinicians may also explore the Texas State Capitol, Circuit of The Americas, and the Congress Avenue Bridge, recognized for its bat population. Live music venues, Inner Space Cavern, the Austin Zoo, and day trip destinations such as Enchanted Rock and Hamilton Pool provide additional options for leisure during time away from clinical responsibilities.

The gastroenterologist will provide inpatient gastroenterology coverage on a day shift basis with call and 24-hour call responsibilities at this on-site facility. Clinical responsibilities include managing inpatient gastroenterology cases and performing ERCP, which is a required component of this assignment. Call coverage is an integral part of this locum tenens engagement, and RN and MA support is available throughout each assigned coverage period. Board certification in Gastroenterology is required for all clinicians considered for this role.
