Associate Vice President, Facilities and Operations

Harford Community College is seeking a strategic and collaborative leader to serve as Associate Vice President for Facilities & Operations, a key member of the President's Cabinet. This executive leadership role oversees the planning, development, and operation of the College’s physical infrastructure and support services, helping to ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming campus environment.

The AVP is responsible for managing capital and operating budgets, coordinating design and construction initiatives, overseeing departmental operations, negotiating contracts, and serving as a liaison with state and local government agencies.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or a related fieldSeven or more years of progressive experience leading facilities, construction, operations, or related services, preferably in higher education or the public sectorFive or more years of supervisory experience, including staff development, performance management, and hiringValid driver's license

This is an exempt administrative position with an annually reviewed contract.
Residency Requirement: Employees must reside in Maryland or a contiguous state (Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, or the District of Columbia). Candidates currently living elsewhere must be willing to relocate.
