Job Description
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Plant Accountant for a growing manufacturing organization located west of Cleveland, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys partnering with operations, analyzing manufacturing performance, and driving financial accuracy in a plant environment. The Plant Accountant will play a key role in cost accounting, inventory analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting while working closely with plant leadership. Based on internal Plant Accountant job information involving cost accounting, inventory valuation, forecasting, variance analysis, and manufacturing support responsibilities.

Plant AccountantLocation: West of Cleveland, OhioEmployment Type: Full-TimeKey ResponsibilitiesSupport monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activitiesPrepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reportsAnalyze manufacturing costs, labor, material, and overhead variancesMaintain and monitor standard costing and inventory accuracyAssist with annual budgets, forecasts, and financial planning activitiesPartner with plant operations to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitabilitySupport inventory audits, cycle counts, and physical inventory processesPrepare financial analyses and management reporting for plant leadershipInvestigate financial discrepancies and recommend corrective actionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and reporting accuracy
QualificationsAssociate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or equivalent from an accredited college or technical school preferred3+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment preferredExperience with cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial analysisStrong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accountingERP experience required; SAP experience is a plusAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilitiesAbility to work independently while effectively partnering with operations teams
