Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pathologist / Oncopathologist role based in Nasik. The role involves performing diagnostic evaluations of tissue and cytology specimens, including gross and microscopic examinations, to support accurate cancer diagnosis and staging. The Pathologist / Oncopathologist will interpret histopathology and laboratory findings, prepare detailed diagnostic reports, and collaborate closely with oncologists, surgeons, and other clinicians in multidisciplinary tumor boards. Responsibilities include overseeing laboratory workflows, ensuring quality control and adherence to regulatory standards, and guiding appropriate test selection for complex oncology cases. The role also includes participation in case reviews, contributing to clinical research where applicable, and supporting continuous improvement in cancer diagnostics and patient care pathways.
Qualifications Strong foundation in Pathology, with demonstrated experience in oncopathology and diagnostic interpretation. Clinical knowledge in Medicine, with the ability to correlate pathological findings with patient history and oncology treatment plans. Proficiency in Laboratory Skills, including handling specimens, maintaining quality standards, and working with laboratory equipment and protocols. Expertise in Histology and Laboratory Medicine, including tissue processing, staining techniques, and analysis of histopathological slides. Recognized postgraduate qualification in Pathology (MD / DNB or equivalent) from an accredited institution. Licensure or eligibility to practice as a pathologist as per applicable regulatory requirements. Attention to detail, strong analytical and diagnostic skills, and commitment to evidence-based practice. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working within multidisciplinary oncology teams. Willingness to participate in clinical research, continuous learning, and adoption of new diagnostic technologies.
