Job Description

Garden Manager

Landvisions | Tyler, Texas | Full time, on-site | Presented by Bloom Talent Solutions

About Landvisions

Landvisions is a Design | Build | Manage landscape firm based in Tyler, Texas. The team includes landscape architects, designers, construction specialists and maintenance crews, and has completed more than 500 projects for primary homes, lake properties, ranches, estates and commercial sites across East Texas. The firm designs, builds and maintains everything outside the walls of the house: planting, irrigation, drainage, hardscape, pools and outdoor living spaces. Maintenance is the long-term relationship that keeps that work beautiful year after year.

The Role

The Garden Manager owns a portfolio of residential and estate maintenance clients. Many of them have invested heavily in their landscapes and expect a single, trusted point of contact. No one hands you a route: you learn your properties, plan each season, direct the crews, and keep owners informed and confident. You will also spot and estimate enhancements that make each property better over time.

A new Garden Manager typically takes on a portfolio of about 15 to 20 properties. Properties range from compact backyards to ranches of 100 acres or more, with a strong concentration in the region's lake communities.

What You Will Do

  • Own client relationships: be the primary contact for your clients on services, scheduling, issues, solutions and invoicing. Send regular pre-visit communication and walk properties with owners.
  • Manage contracts and budgets: track each maintenance contract against budget throughout the year and report on it regularly.
  • Grow your properties: recommend and estimate enhancements each season, working with the in-house estimator and design team.
  • Plan the work: set seasonal sequencing, schedules and materials for your portfolio.
  • Lead crews: run morning crew meetings, direct work on site, and inspect completed work to make sure expectations are met. Crews are shared across the maintenance team.
  • Develop people: lead regular crew training and help build a positive, accountable team culture.

What You Bring

  • Experience in landscape maintenance management, OR a nursery, greenhouse, grounds or golf background combined with client-facing or sales responsibility
  • Confidence presenting to discerning property owners and representing the firm well
  • Experience directing field crews and holding a standard of quality
  • Self-motivation and the discipline to run your own schedule across a wide territory
  • Clear, timely communication and dependable follow-through
  • Genuine interest in horticulture. East Texas plant knowledge is a plus, not a requirement; the team will teach its plant palette.
  • Comfort with scheduling, material logistics, estimating and basic software (CRM, email, spreadsheets)
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record (company vehicle)

Strong pluses

  • Spanish language skills
  • Experience with Aspire or a similar landscape management platform
  • Texas Department of Agriculture pesticide applicator license
  • Irrigation and landscape lighting troubleshooting

Why This Role

  • Autonomy with accountability. You run your own portfolio and your own week.
  • A full design-build team behind you. Landscape architects, designers, an estimator and construction crews feed new accounts and support enhancement work.
  • Leadership that means it about family. Leadership supports time off for family commitments, and the company closes the week between Christmas and New Year's.
  • Room to grow. Company-paid professional development, licenses, fees and industry events.
  • East Texas living. Strong public, charter and private school options, varied housing within about 20 minutes of the office, and Dallas about 90 minutes away.

Benefits

  • Company vehicle (fuel paid) and company cell phone
  • Health insurance, plus a company-provided concierge medical option
  • Dental and vision insurance
  • Paid holidays, paid time off, and a paid company closure the week between Christmas and New Year's
  • Simple IRA retirement plan
  • Annual bonus potential based on company performance
  • Company-paid professional development, licenses and industry events

Waiting periods apply to some benefits. Bloom will walk through the specifics of the package with you in conversation.

Working Conditions

This is an outdoor, early-start role. East Texas summers are hot, and some properties are up to two hours from the office, so expect long drive days and a lot of work done by phone and email from the field. Work authorization in the United States is required.

Next Steps

Questions about the role go to your Bloom Talent Solutions recruiter. All conversations are confidential.
