Senior Solution Architect - Managed Wi-Fi Platform

Job Summary

Seeking a Senior Solution Architect with 4-6 years of experience combining cloud/software architecture with deep networking and Wi-Fi expertise to lead the end-to-end design and delivery of a carrier-grade, cloud-native Managed Wi-Fi platform. The role covers technology selection, PoC, development, integration, performance testing, and production deployment across Azure/GCP, using open-source and cloud-native technologies.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead end-to-end architecture for a secure, scalable, highly available Managed Wi-Fi platform.
• Design AAA/RADIUS, FreeRADIUS, RadSec, CoA, captive portals, authentication, policy enforcement, session management, and multi-tenant capabilities.
• Integrate third-party Wi-Fi APs/controllers, BSS, voucher platforms, and external systems through secure REST APIs.
• Lead technology selection, PoCs, technical development, integration, performance/load testing, and production deployment.
• Ensure security, scalability, high availability, resilience, observability, and performance across Azure/GCP.
• Oversee cloud-native deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Implement secure API integrations using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and appropriate security controls.
• Establish monitoring, metrics, logging, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.
• Drive CI/CD and deployment automation while aligning technical delivery with business and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and third-party vendor teams, including WLAN providers such as Cisco, HPE Aruba, and Fortinet.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of relevant experience in solution architecture, software/cloud engineering, networking, Wi-Fi, or telecom platforms.
• Proven experience delivering platforms from architecture and technology selection through PoC, development, integration, performance testing, and production deployment.
• Strong knowledge of Managed Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi-as-a-Service, hotspot, ISP/AAA, NAC, or telecom platforms; experience in these areas is a major advantage.
• Expertise in FreeRADIUS, RADIUS, RadSec, CoA, AAA, captive portals, guest Wi-Fi, enterprise Wi-Fi, and managed Wi-Fi architectures.
• Experience integrating Cisco, HPE Aruba, Fortinet, or similar WLAN solutions, along with BSS, voucher platforms, and external systems.
• Proficiency in REST APIs, Linux, PostgreSQL, Redis, and at least one programming language: Python, Go, Java, or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Azure/AKS and/or GCP, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, API security, high availability, scalability, resilience, and performance optimization.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana or similar observability tools, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
• Strong technical leadership, architectural decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
